[Before You Upgrading]

Vigor2600Ge is a new product.  To compare with existing Vgir2600 Series, the new product family 
not only improves the power of network processor (ARM9 CPU CORE), the speed of wireless LAN 
(802.11g 54Mbps), but also the performance of VPN.

(1)For Annex A Model,
	     1> "v26ea251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 42E2EA53.  (Standard)

	     2> "v26ek251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 41E2BE2C.       
                 (Recommended for UK, 2.5.1_UK)

	     3> "v26e0251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 43E2EAA1.
                 (Recommended for high dB users which are using 
                  ADSL extended line on UK, 2.5.1_UK2)

	     4> "v26ec251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E2BE29.       
                 (Recommended for Netherlands (Holland), 2.5.1_H)

(2)For Annex B Model,
	     1> "v26eb251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E3BE15.  (Standard)

	     2> "v26eg251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E4BE96.
                 (Recommanded for Germany, 2.5.1_G)

	     3> "v26ez251.xxx" is with ADI firmware 40E4BEA9.
                 (Recommanded for Czech and Switzerland, 2.5.1_Cz)

Notes:

1. This release firmware don't allow to upgrade into previous Vigor2600 series and Vigor2600 plus series.
 - Vigor2600 series includes Vigor2600, Vigor2600X, Vigor2600We and Vigor2600W.
 - Vigor2600 plus series includes Vigor2600plus, Vigor2600i, Vigor2600G and Vigor2600Gi.
  
2. You have to upgrade "*.RST" firmware file once you face the booting problems 
after upgrading.  To upgrade "*.RST" firmware file will erase the existing router's settings, 
and restore it to the factory default.  When will you allow to updade your router using 
this file ?  Once you upgrade your router using "*.ALL" firmware file (normally use) 
unsuccessfully several times, we suggest you upgrading "*.RST" firmware file.  

3. After upgrading successfully, you can make sure the upgraded firmware version listed above 
on the web user interface. 

4. Do not attempt to restore old settings from a configuration backup file downloaded 
from previous firmware version.  

5. If you have any ADSL on-line problem, please contact your service provide at first, 
or get into web user interface ("Internet Access Setup" > "PPPoE/PPPoA" or "MPoA") to change 
the "Modulation" of "DSL Modem Settings" to "T1.413", then to try again.  Also, you can use 
the following Telnet commands to tune your router working with Globespan chipset DSLAM :

  > adsl status            Get DSLAM chipset verdor information
  > adsl dslam gspn        Set ADSL parameters compatible with the Globespan chipset DSLAM 
  > adsl dslam default     Set ADSL parameters to fatory default settings
